Aastha Gohil, Associate Professor, School of Design and I/C Director, Centre of Design Education (CODE), brings over 17 years of diverse experience spanning both industry and academia. At Anant, Aastha is involved with the Centre for Moving Images, while also facilitating courses in the Foundation Year programme. She also oversees outreach and admissions activities through CODE.

Before joining Anant, Aastha was an Associate Professor at JK Lakshmipat University (JKLU), heading the Communication Design department. She also contributed as Foundation Programme Coordinator at JKLU. Prior to academia, she worked as a Creative Director and Copywriter with leading international advertising agencies, including Percept and Illusion Films. She also serves as a Visiting Faculty and jury expert at multiple design institutions, including NID, CEPT University, IIT Hyderabad and many more.

Aastha graduated in Film Making from the National Institute of Design and completed her MA in Screenwriting from Edinburgh Napier University. She has earned many awards, accolades, and honorary credits for her films at international film festivals.

Beyond academia, Aastha pursues an active interest in photography, alternative healing and energy therapy. She also practices and teaches yoga and healing, Equine Research, counselling, travel research and programme development. She also enjoys cooking, bike riding, off-roading and reading.
