Required Education Qualification and Years of Experience

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline from a recognised institution. Candidates with a strong technical Bachelor’s degree and relevant AI/ML experience may also be considered.
  • 5–8 years of relevant professional experience in AI/ML, Generative AI, Software Engineering, Data Science or related areas, with demonstrated experience in developing and deploying AI-based solutions.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

    Direct Contact with Teachers and Students (30%):
     

  • Work hands-on with students and faculty across the University, offering specialized AI workshops, pilot courses to create a culture of responsible AI usage, and assisting with student projects as needed.

    •  

    Lab Operations and Helpdesk (40%):
     

  • Own the technical and operational upkeep of the AI Lab and its machines, subscriptions/software, access, and backups.
  • Man the University’s AI Helpdesk, which is open to the campus community.

    •  

    Tool Design and Infrastructure (15%):
     

  • Co-design software tools with the lead for University systems and augment them to make them user-friendly.
  • This will be a time-bound engagement, and the time allocation will be reviewed upon delivery of this task.

    AI Working Group: Secretariat and Decision Record (15%):
     

  • Convene the AI Working Group, maintain the official record of decisions, and follow through on action items across the group’s four mandate areas:
  • Capability Building: FDPs, student bootcamps, and AI literacy programmes.
  • Innovation Lab: Establishing and managing a high-tech AI Lab with premium tools.
  • Integration Across Campus: Supporting departments in embedding AI into curriculum, assessment, administration, and workflows.
  • Community: Building an AI culture on campus.
