About Communication Design Department

The Communication Design programme at Anant National University is part of a vibrant and rapidly growing design ecosystem that nurtures creativity, critical inquiry, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The department offers a dynamic studio culture where students and faculty engage in an open, intellectually stimulating, and practice-led learning environment. With a curriculum spanning graphic design, typography, photography, illustration, animation, filmmaking, interaction design, immersive media, and emerging technologies, the programme integrates design research, sustainability, systems thinking, and industry engagement. Required Education Qualification and Years of Experience

  • A master’s degree in an appropriate branch with first-class. Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching/Industry/research organisations/ design Studios. In addition, a strong portfolio demonstrating professional and/or academic work in Film/time based media.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

  • Teach undergraduate courses in Film, Time-Based Media, Animation, Motion Graphics, Visual Storytelling, and related subjects offered by the Communication Design department.
  • Design and deliver studio-based learning experiences that integrate storytelling, communication design, and contemporary media practices.
  • Mentor student projects, industry collaborations, internships, and graduation projects.
  • Contribute to curriculum development by incorporating emerging technologies, evolving media practices, and interdisciplinary approaches.
  • Foster collaboration across Communication Design and other design disciplines on integrated creative projects.
  • Engage in research, creative practice, exhibitions, festivals, publications, and industry partnerships aligned with the University’s academic vision.
  • Contribute to academic administration, student mentoring, assessment, and departmental initiatives.
  • Conduct research, publish findings in academic journals, and present at conferences to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field.
  • Facilitate opportunities for students to engage in real-world projects, internships, and collaborations with industry professionals.
  • Stay updated with advancements in the field and pursue professional certifications or memberships to enhance credibility and expertise.
