About Anant National University

Anant National University, India’s Premier Design University, is dedicated to training students to devise solutions for global problems through creative thinking.

About the Department

The School of Design at Anant National University houses the Design Disciplines of the University, namely Space Design, Product Design, Interaction Design, Communication Design, Sustainable Fashion & Textiles, Moving Image, and Transdisciplinary Design. Apart from these majors, the School also offers a choice of minors in allied fields a few examples being minors in Design for Health & Wellbeing, Furniture Design, Urban Design, etc The programme educates designers about prevalent global problems and encourages them to propose path-breaking solutions. It facilitates personal development and allows students to explore practical design solutions through learning-by-doing modules.

Required Education Qualification

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Architecture or a related field.
  • Good understanding of design processes and visual communication.
  • Good communication, coordination and mentoring skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant design software is desirable.
  • Prior academic or professional experience will be an advantage.

Years of Experience

Around 2 years of experience in working with academic institutions or similar organisation

Role Expectation

The candidate should be comfortable working in a studio-based, collaborative and interdisciplinary environment and should be willing to take ownership of assigned academic responsibilities.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

  • Support faculty in studios, courses, workshops, reviews and juries.
  • Guide students with their design projects, presentations, models and documentation.
  • Assist with course preparation, assessments, attendance and academic records.
  • Coordinate workshops, field visits, guest sessions and other academic activities.
  • Support documentation of student work, exhibitions and programme activities.
  • Coordinate with faculty, students, TAs and Academic Affairs as required.
  • Contribute to curriculum and other Product Design initiatives.
