About the Department

The proposed consultancy and research division,organized as a section 8 company, at Anant National University will undertake large-scale purposeful consultancy projects and externally sponsored research addressing contemporary challenges like rapid urbanization, changing climate and poor quality of public design. Our mandate requires offering cutting-edge professional expertise and design knowledge in critical areas overlooked or underserved by private firms and public agencies.

Role Purpose

To establish and lead Consultancy & Research Division as a nationally recognised centre for applied research, consultancy and innovation by delivering high-impact projects, fostering strategic partnerships, and advancing the University’s mission through purpose-driven professional practice and knowledge creation.

Required Education Qualification

Terminal professional master’s degree in architecture/design/city planning/urban design or any other relevant field; doctorate preferred.

Years of Experience

15+ years with minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a reputed educational institution or leading consultancy firm. Ideally, a combination of experience designing and supervising large-scale consulting projects independently in a leading design firm along with teaching or research experience in a reputed institution.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

  • Develop and oversee a full-fledged design studio featuring a mix of full-time employees and invited engagement of university faculty while creating a financially sustainable and impact-driven consulting and research vertical.
  • Build meaningful partnerships with public agencies and institutional clients.
  • Deliver high-impact, visible projects at the city/state/national level.
  • Encourage and promote pertinent research projects aligned with the university’s progressive agenda.
  • Ensure the highest quality of services offered with zero appetite for reputational risk.
