About (Department)

The Marketing & Communications function is responsible for building the university’s brand, driving admissions-led marketing, and strengthening institutional visibility and credibility.

PR will play a critical role in shaping external perception through high-quality media engagement, thought leadership, and narrative-driven storytelling. All PR efforts are anchored in the university’s positioning “Come, Create the New”, reinforcing its positioning as a leading design-focused institution.

Location

Mumbai. The role will involve travel to the Ahmedabad campus for meetings with leadership, programme chairs, faculty, students and internal teams.

Required Education Qualification and Years of Experience

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Marketing, Business, Communications, Digital Marketing or a related field. MBA will be an added advantage.
  • 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in performance marketing. Experience of managing day-to-day performance campaigns at a digital agency or for a medium/large client is preferred.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

    Performance Marketing and Campaign Management
     

  • Plan, execute, monitor and optimise performance marketing campaigns across Google, Meta, YouTube, education portals and other relevant digital platforms.
  • Drive campaigns for Anant’s School of Design, School of Architecture, School of Visual Arts and BTech in Climate Change programme.
  • Create campaign structures, audience segments, keyword plans, ad groups, creatives, landing page inputs and optimisation plans.
  • Manage monthly and campaign-wise budgets across platforms and ensure spends are aligned with the approved media plan.
  • Track daily campaign performance and take timely corrective action to improve CPL, CPA, registration quality and admission outcomes.
  • Work closely with Google support teams, Meta teams, education portals and other ad publishers for campaign support, optimisation and issue resolution.

    Media Planning and ROI Management
     

  • Prepare performance media plans based on programme priorities, admissions targets, seasonality and budget availability.
  • Allocate budgets across platforms based on past performance, funnel requirements, target markets and expected ROI.
  • Monitor campaign efficiency across impressions, clicks, CTR, CPC, CPL, lead quality, registrations and conversions.
  • Maintain a close watch on ROI and recommend budget shifts wherever required.

    Tracking, Analytics and Reporting
     

  • Use GA4, GTM, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager and platform dashboards to monitor performance and troubleshoot campaign issues.
  • Ensure campaign tracking, UTM structures, conversion events and lead attribution are properly implemented and monitored.
  • Coordinate with website, CRM and technology teams to ensure proper tracking of leads, registrations and conversions.
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly performance reports with clear insights, not just data dumps.

    Coordination with Admissions and Internal Teams
     

  • Work closely with the admissions team to understand lead quality, counsellor feedback, registration movement and conversion trends.
  • Work with the creative/content team to brief performance-led creatives, landing page messages, ad copies and campaign assets.
  • Ensure campaign messaging is accurate, relevant and aligned with the University’s brand positioning.

    Education Portals and Publisher Management
     

  • Coordinate with education portals and digital publishers for campaign execution, lead delivery, reports, optimisations and issue resolution.
  • Monitor lead quality and evaluate platform performance regularly.
  • Recommend continuation, optimisation or discontinuation based on lead quality.

    Creative and Landing Page Inputs
     

  • Provide clear performance-led creative briefs based on campaign objective, TG, programme and platform.
  • Review ad copies, creatives and landing pages from a performance marketing lens.
  • Suggest improvements to landing pages, lead forms and user journeys to improve campaign conversion.
  • Basic understanding of creative management and performance-led messaging will be an added advantage.

Key Requirements and Skills

  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Google and Meta Ads, YouTube, GA4 and GTM.
  • Strong understanding of lead generation, registration funnels, conversion tracking and ROI analysis.
  • Ability to read data, identify campaign issues and take quick corrective action.
  • Ability to work with multiple teams – admissions, creative, content, website, and CRM.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to create clear reports, summaries and recommendations for internal stakeholders.
  • Basic understanding of creative formats, campaign messaging and landing page performance will be an added advantage.
