The Career Services Office serves as the interface between academia and industry by facilitating internships, placements, industry projects, employer engagement, and career development initiatives. The office works closely with employers and students to create meaningful opportunities that support career readiness and successful professional outcomes.

Required Education Qualification and Years of Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. A qualification in Management, Marketing, Human Resource, Design, Communication, or related fields will be preferred.
  • 3–7 years of experience in corporate relations, campus recruitment, business development, career services, placement, or talent acquisition.
  • Experience in higher education, recruitment consulting, training and placement, or industry engagement is desirable.
  • Exposure to the design, architecture, creative, consulting, or innovation sectors will be an advantage.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

Position Overview -The Assistant Manager / Executive – Career Services & Corporate Outreach will be responsible for developing and managing employer relationships, expanding the recruiter network, and facilitating internships and placement opportunities for students. The role requires regular industry outreach, corporate engagement, relationship management, data management, and travel for employer meetings and business development activities. The incumbent will work closely with students, faculty, industry leaders, and recruiters to ensure strong placement and internship outcomes.

 

    Corporate Outreach & Relationship Management
     

  • Develop and maintain relationships with corporate organizations, design firms, consulting companies, startups, NGOs, and industry partners.
  • Identify and engage prospective recruiters for internships, live projects, and final placements.
  • Conduct outreach through emails, calls, networking, industry visits, and professional events.
  • Represent the University during employer meetings, conferences, industry events, and networking forums.
  • Maintain long-term partnerships with recruiters and hiring organizations.

    Placement & Internship Facilitation
     

  • Drive internship and placement opportunities for students across programmes.
  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes including job postings, interview scheduling, assessments, and offer management.
  • Track student participation and ensure timely placement support.
  • Work closely with students to understand career aspirations and align opportunities accordingly.

    Industry Engagement & Travel
     

  • Undertake local and outstation travel for corporate visits, employer meetings, and business development activities.
  • Conduct regular employer engagement visits to strengthen relationships and generate opportunities.
  • Support industry collaborations including projects, workshops, guest lectures, and mentoring engagements.

    Data Management & Reporting
     

  • Maintain accurate databases of companies, recruiters, student profiles, internships, and placement outcomes.
  • Generate reports, dashboards, and placement analytics using Excel and related tools.
  • Prepare presentations, employer reports, placement statistics, and management updates.
  • Ensure timely updating of placement records and institutional data.

    Events & Career Initiatives
     

  • Organize recruitment drives, career fairs, portfolio reviews, networking events, and employer engagement activities.
  • Coordinate employer presentations, campus visits, and career development programmes.
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving student employability and career readiness.
