FOSSIL STORY AR - An immersive WebAR application for visitors at a fossil park
The Fossil Story AR project aims to enhance the visitor experience at a fossil park through an immersive WebAR application. Leveraging mobile based augmented reality, the experience transforms static fossil exhibits into interactive digital narratives that portray the life, extinction and fossilisation of ammonites, ancient marine
creatures. These digital artefacts are made accessible directly via a user’s smartphone without any app downloads.
