June at Anant was marked by significant milestones, global learning experiences and inspiring achievements. From the School of Architecture receiving approval from the COA for intake expansion and student immersion in Japan to SFTD students shining at Ahmedabad Fashion Week, the month reflected Anant’s commitment to excellence, creativity and real-world impact.
Anant’s School of Architecture received approval from the Council of Architecture (CoA) to increase its Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) intake from 80 to 120 seats. This significant milestone reflects the strength of the programme, the quality of its infrastructure and the collective efforts of the University community.
With this approval, Anant joins a select group of architecture schools in India operating at this scale, reflecting both the growing demand for the programme and the confidence placed in its academic standards, infrastructure and institutional vision.
Anant’s pedagogical approach emphasises experiential learning across disciplines. This time, the learning took place across borders as BDes (all majors) and BArch students from across semesters, went to Japan for an academically structured international learning experience.
Led by Rutvi Ashar, Assistant Professor and Director, Strategic Development Office, the study programme exposed students to Japanese design thinking and practices, urban environments, museums and institutions. It included guided site visits, academic/corporate interactions, structured observation assignments and daily reflections.
