August was all about new beginnings as we welcomed the Incoming Class of 2026 to campus with energy, enthusiasm and excitement. The two-day Orientation Programme introduced students to the Anant experience, beginning with the Provost’s welcome address and followed by interactions with various University teams. The Placement Cycle 2027 also kicked off, while students and faculty continued to engage with industry, explore new ideas and make their mark through innovation, entrepreneurship and impactful projects.
August began with the energy of a new beginning as we opened the doors to the Incoming Class of 2026. From first-day registration and hostel check-ins to meeting new people and finding their way around campus, the newest members of the Anant community took their first steps into an exciting new chapter. And if the smiles, conversations and enthusiasm were anything to go by, they were more than ready to get started!
The two-day Orientation Programme brought the batch together for a lively introduction to life at Anant. The programme kicked off with the Provost’s welcome address, followed by sessions and interactions covering academics, programmes, student life, hostels, code of conduct and more. It was two days of getting informed, getting acquainted and, most importantly, getting a first taste of what it means to Create the New at Anant.
The Placement Cycle 2027 got underway with an engaging kickoff session attended by more than 200 students. The session, organised by the Career Services Office, marked the beginning of a series of career-focused initiatives at Anant, including career masterclasses, industry engagement activities and company-on-campus recruitment drives, bringing students closer to industry and helping them prepare for the world of work.
The 6th-semester Space Design students, including Preet Gorane, Dwishaa Rajyaguru, Anushka Makani, Sunil Makad, Parth Mundra and Vanshika Raisa, reimagined the Vijayi Bharat Foundation’s High Performance Centre at the Sanskardham Campus as part of a live-action design elective.
Led by Prof Nirali Parekh, Assistant Professor, and Prof Kavita Pradhan, Assistant Professor, School of Design, the team designed the spatial identity of the Centre through interventions including a striking Wall of Fame, dynamic para-athlete installations, branded panels and a signature brick feature wall.
The Tapi Project brought music and live performance to campus, adding to the vibrant cultural and creative experiences that shape student life at Anant.
In a powerful expression of community care and collective responsibility, Anant organised its 8th Blood Donation Camp in partnership with Prathama Blood Centre. 128 members of the Anant community came forward to donate blood, reaffirming Anant’s commitment to nurturing not just skilled designers, but compassionate human beings.
