About Anant National University

Anant National University, India’s Premier Design University, is dedicated to training students to devise solutions for global problems through creative thinking.

About Department

The School of Design at Anant National University houses the Design Disciplines of the University, namely Space design, Product Design, Interaction Design, Communication Design, Sustainable Fashion & Textiles, Moving Image and Transdisciplinary Design. Apart from these majors, the school also offers a choice of minors in allied fields a few examples being minors in Design for Health & Wellbeing, Furniture Design, Urban Design etc. The programme educates designers about prevalent global problems and encourages them to propose path-breaking solutions. It facilitates personal development and allows students to explore practical design solutions through learning-by-doing modules.

Required Education Qualification

  • Candidates having B.Des/M.Des. with consistently good academic performance of 60% and above.
  • Candidates with research/academic/professional experience of a minimum of 2-5 years will be given preference
  • Experience of work in institute of higher education/ research is desirable

  • Around 2 years of experience in working with academic institutions or similar organisation

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

    Classroom Support
     

  • Collaborate with the professor in the development of instructional content, presentation materials and comprehensive lesson plans.
  • Provide assistance during lectures, seminars and studio sessions to ensure students have a smooth, efficient and productive learning experience.
  • Respond to student inquiries and actively facilitate discussions, promoting deeper understanding and engagement with the course content.

    Student Engagement
     

  • Facilitate one-on-one or group sessions during office hours to help students resolve queries and improve their understanding.
  • Develop a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere, encouraging active student participation and collaboration.
  • Be available by email to resolve student queries and establish a communication channel between the course faculty and students.

    Assessment and Feedback
     

  • Assist the professor/instructor in the grading and evaluation process.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students, helping them to identify areas for improvement and encouraging academic growth.
  •  

    Administrative Support
     

  • Assist in maintaining accurate student attendance records, grades and other relevant data and uploading them to the ERP.
  • Collaborate with professor/instructor to ensure the smooth functioning of courses and adherence to University policies.
  •  

    Professional Development
     

  • Receive training on ERP and other relevant systems to help students develop new skills and navigate through Anant’s work culture.
  • Stay updated with educational best practices, pedagogical methodologies and relevant technologies to enhance teaching effectiveness.
  • Participate actively in training sessions and workshops related to the field to continuously develop and enhance professional skills.

    Student Work Documentation and Exhibition Support
     

  • Comprehensive work documentation: Capture and archive students’ work through photography, videography, scanning and collection of physical models and sheets.
  • Curriculum and booklet preparation: Develop instructional booklets, semester-wise course booklets and semester-end curriculum documents using students’ studio and classroom work.
  • Support student exhibitions, University events and summer or winter school programmes through planning and coordination.
