Anant National University, India’s Premier Design University, is dedicated to training students to devise solutions for global problems through creative thinking.

About Department

The Office of Student Affairs at Anant National University works on designing, curating, and implementing the non-academic student experience on campus as well as at the residences. Student Services oversees campus life, residence life, university-wide events,
on-campus jobs, student wellbeing, student governance and committees, branding, outreach, and alumni relations, among others. We strive to create a thriving student experience at par with the best across institutions.

Required Education Qualification and Years of Experience

  • Graduate in any field in Education, Management, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • 6–10 years of experience in student affairs, higher education administration, or campus engagement.
  • Experience in institutional process building and SOP implementation preferred.
  • Strong understanding of student lifecycle management.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

    Student Life & Campus Engagement
     

  • Oversee planning and execution of student life programmes and engagement initiatives.
  • Strengthen student participation in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
  • Guide and mentor the Student Council, clubs, Resident Assistants, Wellbeing Warriors and student leadership bodies.
  • Create opportunities for volunteering, peer engagement, and community-building.
  •  

    Inclusive Campus Culture
     

  • Promote a campus environment rooted in respect, belonging, accountability, and wellbeing.
  • Support initiatives that foster diversity, inclusion, and mutual respect.
  • Address student concerns with fairness, sensitivity, and institutional integrity while ensuring accurate documentation.
  •  

    Student Support & Wellbeing
     

  • Oversee grievance redressal mechanisms and ensure timely resolution.
  • Coordinate counselling, health, safety, and wellbeing services.
  • Establish proactive support systems for student retention and engagement.
  • Ensure crisis response protocols are clearly defined and implemented.
  •  

    Alumni Relations & Engagement
     

  • Support alumni outreach initiatives and engagement programmes.
  • Coordinate alumni events, reunions, and institutional connect platforms.
  • Maintain structured alumni database systems.
  • Develop measurable systems to assess and improve alumni engagement.

    Student & Institutional Events
     

  • Lead operational planning and execution of:
    • Orientation Programmes, Festivals, Talent fiestas, social service initiatives
    • Student Fests
    • TEDx and flagship events
    • Several aspects of Graduation Ceremonies
    • Alumni Reunions
  • Ensure events are executed with high institutional standards.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders for seamless delivery.
  •  

    Policy Governance & SOP Development
     

  • Support drafting, reviewing, and implementation of student-related policies.
  • Develop, document, and standardise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all Student Affairs functions, including but not limited to:
    • Student grievances and disciplinary processes
    • Event approvals and risk management
    • Residence operations
    • Student club governance
    • Alumni engagement processes
    • Wellbeing and support services
  • Ensure SOPs are aligned with regulatory frameworks and institutional objectives.
  • Drive implementation, compliance monitoring, and periodic review of SOPs.
  • Train team members and student leaders on process adherence and operational best practices.
  • Maintain updated student handbooks, operational manuals, and compliance documentation.

    Budget & Resource Management
     

  • Assist in managing budgets for student affairs initiatives.
  • Ensure responsible allocation of funds toward high-impact programmes.
  • Maintain financial discipline, documentation, and reporting.
  •  

    Student Opportunities & External Representation
     

  • Identify and facilitate student participation in national and international competitions, conferences, tournaments, and forums.
  • Support logistics, approvals, and institutional representation.
  •  

    ERP & Systems Management
     

  • Support implementation and optimisation of ERP systems related to:
    • Student services
    • Grievances
    • Housing
    • Wellness
    • Extracurricular engagement
    • Alumni tracking
  • Ensure system-driven efficiency, documentation, and data integrity.
  •  

    Cross-Departmental Coordination
     

  • Work closely with academics, administration, Communication, PR, IT, finance and purchase teams to achieve deliverables.
  • Act as a coordination point for student-related operational matters.
  • Participate in university committees related to student and alumni welfare.
