Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Executive Horticulturist to oversee the planning, cultivation, and maintenance of plants, trees, and landscaped areas. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in plant science, pest control, soil management, and sustainable horticultural practices. This role plays a key part in beautifying and maintaining green spaces while ensuring the health and aesthetics of vegetation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture / Agriculture / Botany, or related field.
  • Proven experience in horticultural management, landscaping, or nursery operations.
  • Strong knowledge of plant species, soil types, irrigation systems, and plant nutrition.
  • Familiarity with pest and disease control methods.
  • Ability to use horticultural tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Good organizational and leadership skills.
  • Passion for sustainability and environmental conservation.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

  • Plan, develop, and maintain gardens, landscapes, parks, and green spaces.
  • Select appropriate plant species based on climate, soil, and aesthetic requirements.
  • Oversee propagation, planting, pruning, fertilization, and irrigation schedules.
  • Monitor plant health, diagnose diseases or pests, and recommend treatment.
  • Coordinate with landscape architects and other departments on planting plans.
  • Implement sustainable practices such as composting, water conservation, and organic pest control.
  • Maintain accurate records of planting cycles, pesticide usage, and maintenance activities.
  • Train and supervise gardening or landscaping staff.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and horticultural standards.
