About Department

The Office of Student Affairs at Anant National University works on designing, curating,
and implementing the non-academic student experience on campus as well as at the residences. Student Services oversees campus life, residence life, university-wide events,
on-campus jobs, student wellbeing, student governance and committees, branding, outreach, and alumni relations, among others. We strive to create a thriving student experience at par with the best across institutions.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

  • Assist in the day-to-day management of hostel operations, including monitoring student movement, attendance, and adherence to hostel rules
  • Ensure safety, discipline, and compliance with university policies within hostel premises
  • Act as a first point of contact for student concerns, grievances, and basic support
  • Coordinate with the infirmary, counsellor, residence life team, and administration for student wellbeing and emergencies
  • Handle emergency situations and crisis response in a timely and responsible manner
  • Support incident reporting, documentation, and record maintenance related to hostel activities
  • Assist in room allocation, check-in/check-out processes, and hostel administration tasks
  • Monitor housekeeping, maintenance, and infrastructure issues and ensure timely resolution
  • Engage with students to promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful residential environment
  • Support planning and execution of hostel events, activities, and community engagement initiatives
  • Work closely with Resident Assistants (RAs) and hostel teams for smooth coordination
  • Possess strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Demonstrate maturity, responsibility, and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion
  • Prior experience in hostel management / student affairs / administration will be preferred
  • Willingness to stay on campus (residential role) and be available for shift duties and emergencies
